Remembering Heaven comes to Theaters in Utah on May 4, 2022.
I never imagined in a million years that someday in my retirement years I would help create a film on what has become the key to understanding who I am and where I came from. That key information would become part of my life’s work—a knowledge that gave me a purpose and a plan. That key is my understanding and my testimony that I am a child of God and come from His presence before birth. We all do!
For many years, I have collected stories about Heaven. My collection includes not only the heaven we go home to when we graduate from earth life, but the heaven we come from before we are born. The quest to understand these concepts has been a personal one. My search to know my spiritual origin and destiny has always been with me, even as a child.
From an early age, I was especially eager to learn about God. I ached deep in my heart for an understanding of where I came from. I sensed that I was a child of God and lived with Him before I was born. I missed Him. And well, I was homesick for Heaven—is one way to put it.
In my heart, I never believed God was like a cloud or a seed, as I was being taught. I knew He was a glorified man with a son named Jesus. I knew he didn’t live in the entire universe, but in a special placed called Heaven. I knew Heaven was my home and God was my father.
Remembering Heaven brings forth in film the resounding evidence of preexistence with personal stories, as well as evidence of preexistence taught down through the ages in art, poetry, literature, and cultural traditions.
Through my books and research, I have reported various kinds of announcing dreams where children waiting to be born appear in dreams and other types of communication to their parents, grandparents, and siblings. They announce that they are ready to be born and become a part of the family.
If you have never attended a red-carpet event, now will be your opportunity!
On May 4, Remembering Heaven is scheduled for its red-carpet premiere. It’s open to all and you’re invited! You can even wear formal attire if you’d like, but of course it’s not required. Come and get to know me and others who made this marvelous film—we’d love to meet you! There may even be some celebrities there—here’s hoping!
Remembering Heaven opens at Jordan Commons Megaplex, Cinemark, and other Megaplex theaters throughout the greater Utah area on May 6, 2022. I will be at several of these theaters throughout the week to greet you. This is a family film, so please feel free to bring your children. My eleven- and fifteen-year-old grandsons were emotionally touched by it.
Come and enjoy the hope, peace, and comfort this film will bring concerning the purpose of life and the reality that we are never alone but are the children of God who come from His presence at birth and return to His eternal home at our passing.
President Russell M. Nelson has taught us well to seek to know who we are. He said, “Great power lies in learning who you really are. Please take time to think prayerfully about these facts:
- You are an elect son or daughter of God.
- You were created in His image.
- You were taught in this Spirit World to prepare for anything and everything you would encounter during this latter part of these latter-days. That teaching endures within you!
“Learn for yourselves who you really are. Ask your Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, how He feels about you and your mission here on Earth. If you ask with real intent, over time the Spirit will whisper the life-changing truth to you. Record those impressions and review them often and follow through with exactness.
“I promise you that when you begin to catch even a glimpse of how your Heavenly Father sees you and what He is counting on you to do for Him, your life will never be the same!”

Below are two stories from Sarah’s files:
Elder Neil A. Maxwell shared this story in a fireside: “Mommy, Another Little Girl is to Join Our Family”
When Nan and Dan Barker of Arizona were unable to have biological sons and daughters, they felt blessed to adopt four children. And they felt their family was complete.
Then one day their three-year-old son said, “Mommy, there’s another little girl who is supposed to come to our family.”
The mother said, in effect, “We’re already so blessed to have all of you.”
The boy continued, “She has dark hair and dark eyes. And she lives a long way from here.”
The mother asked, “How do you know this?”
To which the boy replied, “Jesus told me, upstairs.”
The mother then said, “We don’t have any upstairs.”
The parents, being taught by the child, got in touch with an international adoption agency. Today Nan and Dan Barker have added a fifth child to their family…a little girl with dark hair and dark eyes from Kazakhstan of the former Soviet Union.
“Taught by a Toddler”
—from three-year-old Alan
I had always heard that one could learn many things from children, but not until we had a very precious experience with one of our own, did I realize how true this could be.
When our first child, Alan, was just past two, his great-aunt Lida passed away. I had been worrying about how I was going to tell Alan about death. My husband and I had taken him to see Lida once or twice a week, so there had to be some explanation for the termination of our visits.
Mustering all my courage, for I was new at this sort of thing, I sat Alan on the kitchen stool and drew up a chair. “Alan, honey,” I said, “Aunt Lida has gone back to Heavenly Father.”
Before I could say anything more, he asked, ‘Who took her?”
I stumbled around for an answer, and then I said, “It must have been someone she knew.”
Immediately his little face lit up as if he recognized a familiar situation. He said with a happy smile, “Oh, I know what it’s like. Grandpa Clark brought me when I came to you. He’ll probably take me back when I die.”
Alan, then three years old, proceeded to describe his Grandfather Clark, my father, who had been dead nearly twelve years. Alan had never even seen a picture of him. But he told me how much he loved his grandfather and how good his grandfather had been to him. Alan indicated that my father had helped to teach him and prepare him to come to earth.
Immediately after this occasion, Alan’s father talked to him, and Alan repeated the same experience to him. Alan later told his Grandmother Clark about the experience. For several months, he talked about these things as a happy, natural memory of real experience. Then, suddenly, the memory was erased, and Alan did not know what we were talking about when we discussed it.
However, he had taught us some great truths when he was but a toddler.
